Imagen
The person I admire is the anthropologist Sonia Montecino. His contributions are related to important aspects of the discipline that have a strong relationship with our country. They are crossbreeding, gastronomy, gender and coloniality. This aspects are worked trought literature and anthropology in different books, my favourites are "Madres y huachos" and "la olla deleitosa".Sonia Montecino was born in 1954 and studied literature and anthropology at the University of Chile. She has been one of the most important female figures in the social sciences in recent times, carrying out various research and contributions to the anthropological tradition of Chile and also working as a teacher. I admire Sonia, because she has provided an enriching tradition of books that give anthropologists new perspectives and critiques of aspects that are in Chile as well as Latin America.

Topic: a meaningful photo for me

Imagen
Hello bloggers, I will tell you about a very important photo for me.  This photo shows the most important people in my life, my father, my mother and my sister. It represents the end of my school years. It is very important to me because they were the company and constant help I have had in all the processes of my life, without them I would not be currently achieving goals that I set for a long time. To celebrate my achievements with them is to thank them for making them possible. My family has always been fundamental for me, being able to see us together in a moment like the one in the photo is very meaningful. The photo was taken on my last day of school, outside the school, as all the students were waiting for our families to congratulate us.

My favourite piece of technology

Hi everyone, regarding my favorite piece of technology, although I constantly use different pieces in my day to day life like cell phone or computer, I have a special appreciation for headphones. It can be in bluetooh format or wired connection, but I always have to carry my headphones with me, I spend most of the day listening to music and thanks to them I can do it anywhere and while doing different things. I like to cook, walk, play sports, clean, among others, while listening to music. My cell phone deserves a special mention, since I have the application on it through which I play music, but it would not be the same without my headphones because they allow me to listen to anything without disturbing or interrupting other people and I can combine it with different activities I do during the day.

Why did I choose my major?

Hi bloggers: My first option to study was psichology because in school I got very intersted in the theraphy process and the human emotions, but i did not enter in that career because my paes score was not enought. My second option was anthropology and finally I got in that career. In these months I have realized that anthropology was everything I was looking for. The career brings together a lot of subjects and disciplines that I am passionate about, like philosofy, history, culture, etc. I very interested in the human bonds and how different cultures and expressions are, and also I really enjoy reading a lot and writing academic essays. In anthropology we have a three mentions to licenciate, arqueology, phisycal and social. currently I want to licenciate in social anthropology. There is also another mention called linguistic anthropology that I would like to study in another country because it is not in Chile like a mention.
